Greens

If you want to go vegan for a day, Greens is your best bet. One of my favorite no-meat places. The place is located along Scout Castor, a bit difficult to find, if you don't know your way around the Tomas Morato area. But believe me, it's like finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. So be patient and scan the street signs closely. The owners (former neighbors of my fiance) turned part of their house into a cozy restaurant, lending a warm, homey feel to the place. You can choose to dine inside, where the air-conditioning keeps you comfortable on a hot day. Or outside, facing the sweet, little garden.

Those who think vegetarian food is boring will be changing their minds once they check out the menu. It's not all green and leafy stuff, my friend. The menu at Greens boasts of a variety of dishes that, for the ordinary human being, would normally be made up of meat. Embutido, relleno, "beef" with broccoli. Even chicharon! All the healthier versions of these well-known dishes. The taste? Just as delightful!

I highly recommend my favorites:
The faux-pork barbeque wih brown rice is a bestseller!
The parmigiana with all that melted cheese!
The Shepherd's Pie is always a tempting choice, even when you're not feeling particularly hungry!
My top pick for appetizer - an order of fried mushrooms!
The fresh dalandan juice is what I almost always get.
And for dessert, they got a Vegan Chocolate Cake that's moist and yummy and, best of all, guilt-free.

Eat and Tell!

I'm not a food expert. I'm no chef, or food technician, or a certified food critic. I'm just a girl who loves exploring new places to eat. I find pleasure in scanning new menus, discovering new dishes, savoring different flavors and tastes. Most of the time, we check out a new resto or cafe when a friend or a family member tells us about a meal they liked there, or a yummy dessert. It doesn't have to take an expert to make you go somewhere and eat. Not all the time, no. Hence, this blog.

A fellow foodie out to eat and tell. With my fiance and his SLR in tow, I'm all set to seek out the spots, different places be it old or new, modern or quaint, well- or little-known, all for the glory of gastronomy!

Let's go!
